I have been researching a part # for my 1g valve cover gasket "main gasket" and dont know if its MD 125939 or MD186784 Also on Slowboyracing site,it only shows one gasket as just a 4g63 gasket. Someone please set me straight on the part #'s i have seen both in different places. My car IS a 95 but keep in mind its a 1g engine from a 1990 gsx. Thanks

Hey,

I'm bringing up this old post as I'm curious on the differences between valve cover gasket part numbers MD125939 vs MD186784. I think one is for a 1G and the other is for a 2G, but what are the differences? Aren't valve covers all the same between '90-'99 thus making either gasket useable? I know the heads are different between a 1G and 2G, but didn't think the valve covers would be different? According to RRE's cam VAFQ, they state to use MD125939 RRE Web Cam Installation Instructions Any ideas / comments?

Thanks
