prob with sbr maf Silicone for blow thru setup

I wanted to know if anyone has this problem too. I can't get the blow thru maf Silicone to go on my 3" gm maf. the Silicone and the maf look to be the same size so i think it needs to be a little bigger than the maf. Is there something i need to do to get these Silicone on my maf?

When I have a silicone coupler that is a little too snug i set it in a try with VERY warm(not boiling) water for a few minutes. That way the silicone softens up a little and you can stretch it into place with less effort.

I have the sbr front mount and had no problem with the silicone for the maf-t, maybe they gave you the wrong coupler
