Running very rich

My friends 1991 GSX is running very rich, all it has on it is MBC, greddy type s BOV recirculated of course, and a ACT 2600. We cant figure out what it is, the only thing we can think of is that he has a bad o2 sensor, would this cause the car the run extremely rich? I mean the car is basically stock.

Will a bad 02 sensor throw a check engine light?

certainly will. I have a bad o2 sensor (or so I believe- at least the CAR thinks I have a bad o2 sensor).

there are at least 2 codes that go on if your o2 sensor isn't working. I know, mine has a check engine light on right now because of it.

hmmmm interesting. When i had my 2g, my O2 sensor went bad and it actually caused my car to run really lean. The a/f gauge wouldnt go past the second red led from the left til i fixed it. My check engine light went on as well. Boost leak in my opinion would be a better guess than the O2 sensor, based on my past experience with it.

Well i'm the friend who owns the car, i showed my friend who owns a open DP srt-4 and he said that mine was running way too rich so i must have a problem, it smells horrible.

And another problem was that i put a new TPS on my car and it was working good but now it won't rev above 5000 and sometimes as soon as the turbo starts to spool it studders really hard and i can't really go anywhere, but this only happens sometimes. I was racing someone the other day and the tach just kept on bouncing back and forth from 4-5 and it feels/sounds like the car is going to blow up i don't get it, can you guys help me out?

If there is no check engine light, and no error codes, could the 02 sensor still be bad? Would a vacuum leak make my car run rich?

Dude, i am not a complete idiot, OBVIOUSLY there is something wrong and OBVIOUSLY when that happened i stopped becuase i didn't want anything to happen to my car.

And about the racing part, don't act like there are people out there who don't race it was just bad timing.
