Ok so, I just had a perfect and drivable 92 gsx before all of my mods. Now with everything installed, in every gear it won't pull past about 3,500 rpm, but in neutral it will rev up to 7,000 rpm. There isn't any leaks in the whole motor. Any solutions to my delima??? Anyone??? Timing is good* engine check light came on with my 2g mas so I put the 1g mas back on. The ECU caps are fine, brand new ECU. New sparks and back on stock wires, just trying to figure this out. all new vacum lines and connectors. all new askets and all bolts are tightened. Boost for now is on stock W/G Solenoid. and back on stock FP. We just can't figure it out!

it ran fine and you did that all at once w/o running it in between? And I've heard more than one person say "it won't pull past blah blah" only for it to be fuel cut etc. Are you logging? What does it look like? How many lbs of boost? My "stock" was 12 on a gauge, 7 on the car reading, so that much? Brick wall won't pull? Boost PSI drops to 0 no pull? Boost stays at 15 but car shuts off and won't move pull? Not sure what you want with as few details as you gave. Recheck everything unless you want to pony up more details.

Will it go past 3500 if you don't boost? If so, check for boost leak.
 
ok ok ok its set on only 9 pounds of boost, for now. and it now revs up to 7 grand now after dropping the mas on the floor, seriously. i also put all stock fuel and mas stuff back in to get it to work. the 2g mas made the engine check light turn on and it ran crappy too. but now the problem is its running SUPER rich and its like its getting 5 miles to the gallon, and with premium thats just not exceptable. stock injectors, stock FP and stock mas all put back in. whats the problem? can neone help me on this one? and no im not logging. but i have an airfuel gauge and when i just tap the gas or even when it idles it lights up the greenest most rich light on the meterband... IT now sits in my driveway with an empty tank...
 
like thats how rich its running, you can smell gas in the exhaust, it does move around from time to time, but mostlyu its on the rich side
 
And it idles at 2,100 and moves up and down from 2,100 to 2,300 like theres a vacum leak, but i just put all new T pieces and vacum lines in, and new gaskets and i tightened all the intercooler piping and everything i just cant figure it out
 
1. When you said no leaks at all, was that the result of a real boost leak test or just a visual inspection?

2. Did you rewire the 2g plug correctly? You can't run the 2g mas with 450's without fuel management like safc, with 550's yes but 450's no.

the 2g mas and injector thing i didnt know, thakn you, and as for the boost leak I just did the logical tightening and visual inspection. i havent done the make your own leak tester thing with the rubber bycicle vavle stem thing that you pump up. i suppose i should though

Definitely do a boost leak test. I thought I had everything tighten after fmic install, boy was I wrong, I found about 8 different leaks.
