ok i read somewhere that if you soak the lifters in gas it will clean them out really nice and they wont tick as much for a long time. but i have my pistons out and the oil holes where the oil control ring goes are so caked in with carbon, and the whole ring lands are so caked in carbon, than solvent and wire brushes dont even scratch it. if i soak my piston/connecting rods in gas overnight will that work for me? or will i have to just buy new pistons, they are like $35 each from napa, but i dont exactly have any money right now, or for a while...
