South Haven,
After the car warms up (not always immediately after the car is warm, but usually after driving for about 10-20 minutes) the oil light will come on, but only when the car is idling or beneath a certain rpm level (appears to be come on when the rpms drop below about 1100.) I'm trying to sell the car, and I want to fix this before I get rid of the car. What are some of the first things I should check, considering the car got its oil changed two weeks ago and the oil level is perfectly fine (not losing any or anything of the sort.) The car's a 96 Eclipse GS, automatic (doubt it'll make any difference but I'm trying to be specific.) It's got about 112k miles on it, so I'm wondering if this is a pretty basic problem or if it's something that's going to cost a lot to fix. Like I said, I really have no idea what could be causing this. Thanks for any help.
