I recently installed an autometer boost gauge and it appears to be responding very slowly for some reason. I spliced into the line off the intake manifold (right hand side) and it seem to read vac much for sensitive compared to splicing onto the other line. I checked for leaks in the nylon hose, only thing I noticed is a small pinch in the line. At idle with some throttle it won't raise more than -19 (starting at -20) and hits full boost alot slower than any other boost gauge I've seen.

buy a new line. a pinch or a kink will have a huge effect on the response of the guage. when i first installed my boost guage, the a-pillar pod would bend the line when it was mounted, and it caused the response to be very SLOW...
