Is there a way to tighten the shifter cable connecing to the tranny. I already purchased polyurathane shifter bushings and my next step is the bearings on the shifter ends. but i have noticed that the movement is coming from the rod connected to the tranny. any way to fix that? thnx for the help

I dont think Im able to adjust it that way. The slack is coming from the tranny bolt (whatever is is called. Thnx

If you can either find it in the shop manual, or take a pic, we might be able to help if any of us -including you- have any idea what you're talking about.

The rod holding the bushings and that connects to tranny is loose. it turns just a tad and is giving me shifting problems every now and then. Just wondering if it can be tighten so it wont be loose.
