Idle Spike

Recently in the cold weather, when I start the car and it's cold it will idle around 1800 (i'm assuming that's normal for a cold engine) but then it will slowly spike up to 3000. Then it kicks down to 2500 every few seconds, and climbs immediately back to 3000. The idle only eventually lowers to 1000 after it warms up for a while. It drives completely fine though. Any thoughts?

check your biss screw, do a boost leak test make sure you dont have vacuum leaks around the throttle body or intake manifold. check those things first.
