aright here it is. i drive a 91 eclipse gs 1.8. a few weeks ago, i installed a UR underdrive pulley in my car, and the car was running fine. then i started to notice some belt noise(squeaking, etc.) but i figured it was nothing but it got to the point where yesterday, the noise was almost constant. i looked around and saw that the ridges in one area of the altenator/water pump belt were worn off. then the friggin thing snapped. today me and my dad fixed it, although i dont know what caused it in the first place. we put on new alt./w.p. and a/c belts. everything looked fine. everything was lined up, tightened correctly, etc. it was running really well and it still is. however, tonight, i put the rear defroster on to see if it would squeak again and guess wat....IT DID. now ive put together and noticed that it seems to squeak at low rpms(approx 2k-3k) while im accelerating from a stop and while i have rear defroster on and/or heat on(accesories) but it doesnt squeak when just lights are on except for MAYBE a very SLIGHT squeak when i start it when the car is cold. it did the same thing while the rear defroster was on before i put the new pulley on but it didnt seem to become a problem like it did this time. like i said, the car is running fine but i dont want that friggin squeaking to lead to what already happened again. any suggestions/help/advice/ANYTHING AT ALL?
