last step to end boost creep? help me

ok i have been fighting boost creep since april 2004...(ever since i installed my big 16g)...i have full 3" exhaust nothing there, and at the time i thought that a bigger o2 housing that dumped to atmospher would end everything...so i bought one from slowboy, not even asking them anything...now it got worse...talked to machv and slowboy and they both said get a bigger flapper...so i am going to buy the MONSTER TURBINE housing that MachV has to offer

is that a good decision? will it be too big for even my big o2 housing? just want some suggestions before i buy it...thanks

Also look at the turbine housing from www.Bullseye-power.com It has a big 38mm flapper. It is a very nice housing.

You could probably get away with using a 34mm flapper too, but you definitely need to get the flapper opening ported out. If it still creeps after that, do a bit of porting on the exhaust housing inlet by the flapper opening so the exhaust gasses flow a bit more towards the it.

EDIT: After looking at that monster housing, you probably won't need to port anything when you put that on. That should fix your boost creep problems since the only bottleneck is the restrictive wastegate opening.

alright, well thanks a lot guys...it has been a very long time since i have been able to really get on my car...but like it matters because i need to get a clutch too...thanks for your help, im going to order that monster turbine housing...wish me luck...im sick of having integras and hondas reving their engines at me and i cant do anything because of my boost creeping

You can do a "PTE style" port job yourself. It is supposed to hurt turbo efficiency a bit, but it will eliminate boost creep. I did it to my EVO III 16G, and it doesn't creep at all. That way you can get your clutch done, and get a turbo exhaust housing later if you still want to. Here's a pic of what I'm talking about.

Try hogging out the entrance to the wastegate. I did that and now I can go down to 16psi with my cutout open. Basically just try to make it as easy as possible for the gases to get out the wastegate.

yep machV gets the housing from bullseye and sells them for more.. profit at its best.
