Ok.....followed vfaq directions to bypass the o2 sensor exactly.........my o2 sensor did not come on the first time I started the car and did not come on the first 10 min it was running. I then turned the car off and let sit for approx 10 min, started iut again and I popped a cel, because i do not have a datalogger, i cannot scan it and clear it.

Look at www.vfaq.com/mods/O2bypass.html

This is what I did I took the 1Mohm resistor, soldered to the blue wire and soldered on end of it to the 1 micro-farad capacitor. Then i soldered the other end of the capicitor to the white wire. From there I took the two black wires soldered them to quick dicsonnects and soldered both of them to the ends of the 12ohm resistor.

Shrink rapped then pluged back into the ECU side of the harness.

What did I do wrong? Was I supposed to follow the way the diagram shows on the second diagram on vfaq? What else could be the prob?

Who else has done this? Was there any probs when you did it?

PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!!!!!!!

thks

Can you give us a quick drawing of your connections. It almost sounds like you have the 1Mohm resister and the capacitor in series instead of parallel. Solder one end of the resistor and capacitor to the blue wire and then the other ends to the white wire. Don't hook them up one after the other.

ok look here, this is what i did.

1Mohm Resistor 1M farid capicitor
_____blue wire_____________-------------------soldered to>>>>>>>>>> soldered to white wire /
/
/
/
_____white wire________________________________________________________

_____black wire_________________________________12 ohm resistor soldered to other back wire /
/
/
/
_____black wire__________________________________

I am guessing that this is considered a series, which is wrong. So I should just take the resistor and the capaitor and soder them directly between the blue and whit wire in paralell one after the other like this.

_____Blue wire__________resistor_____capicitor
/ /
/ /
_____white wire__________ /__________ /

sorry for the crued drawings

Yeah, that's series. Your black wires are correct. Make it look something like this.
