Need Some Help

All right i rebuilt my 96 gst. The car has run great and ever since we first started it up after the rebuild it has blown a lil blue smoke. Well it went away for the longest time after we drove it and the rings started to seat. Well now the car does it just barely every once in a while and its usually when im on an incline. Well ive cleaned the I/C twice now. I also seem to be losing oil (into the I/C obviously) i believe that all of it is going out the breather tube on the valve cover. (comes off the left side and goes into the intake) The lil filter that is connected to it is full of oil and it leaks out of it too. But im not positive, if i replace the filter wont it just fill up again? Its absolutely puzzling oh and i have a CEL im gonna check it. Last time it was on it was the sensor on top of the intake manifold. If you could please give me an idea of what to do. thanks andrew

Yep. Everytime your little "catch can" filter off your breather hose fills up, just dump it out. I would say check your pcv valve. Maybe it's old and crummy.

when you did the rebuild did you put a new turbo on it at the same time? i did and peices of metal from the rings and bearings that sluff off while breaking in get in the turbo and well make you smoke very well.. ive since learned always break in a new engine w/ a old turbo.

The PCV valve is new but i think ill check it just in case. I also ran the car some without the other turbo. I replaced it with a stock t-25 that was used so i wouldn't see how it would matter. IDK i'll either dump that out or get a new one. I'll also check the PCV valve and see. It really is the oddest thing because it doesn't always smoke. Just the other night my dad and I went in town and when i was sitting at idle at a stop sign or light it was blowing some bluish smoke. Then it quits. It doesnt look the greatest when people think ur car is nice and then bam it blows some blue smoke....o well i just want it to run perfectly. It takes time to get all the kinks out. Thanks guys.
