my temp gauge is readin almost nothing when cruising on a highway, i can drive for like 2 hrs and it read very very low, come to a stop and it comes back up to where it should be, or if i drive slow, i know it's gettin cold! but not so cold it'll affect my engine, i know it's probably the gauge or the sending unit, but has this happened to anyone else, anyone got a .02 cents to throw in?

It's more then likely the sending Unit. My gf's gsx had an issue where the temp was reading high, but this was due to an improper aftermarket gauge-face installation. So it wouldn't hurt to check both (if you've done any work on your cluster lately).

If cold air comes out of the heater then it's time to change your thermostat. What you've described is exactly how my car behaves every time the thermostat fails open. Sitting still it will heat up but as soon as the air start flowing through the rad the temp drops.
