High Idle in Park

OK. I haven't driven my old Automatic N/T Talon for about a week. Tonight, someone came to look at it since I am selling it. Anyway, the idle held steady at about 900 RPM when the car was started up, and it did the same while we were on the test drive. Get back to my house, the guy throws it in park, and the RPM goes up to 1600......and stays there. Turned the car off, started it back up and it was at 900 RM again in park. I drove it again after he left and it did the same thing... when I got home and put it in either Park or Neutral, the RPM would go up to just over 1500 and stay there.

Has anyone had this problem, or know how to fix it? I was going to try to adjust the idlde screw, but the head is stripped, and it only idels high in Park after driving a while.

Mine did that, check the ISC motor, and your BISS screw. I replaced the ISC, and that fixed it for me, good luck

I had weird problems like that, and i went through EVERYTHING... ended up being my FIAV. Try blocking it off if your ISC checks out fine. It doesnt sound like a BISS problem.
Personally, my guess is on your FIAV....

Mine is doing the same thing, what did you find with yours? I adjusted the idle lower and it was already as low as you'd want it. Any lower and it started surging because the TB plate was completely closed. I'll check my ISC.
