broken boost controller or?

Just got my car back yesterday and i was driving around (first snow + parking lot = much fun) anyways it was running fine and i had it limited to 15psi. I turn the car off, come back later and suddenly its boosting to like 21 or so (as if there wasnt a controller on) so i checked the boost controller and none if the lines had blown off, did my boost controller just die? or could it be something else? oh yeah 92 tsi awd (big 16g) its a turbo xs boost controller

check your wastegate, maybe spray a little wd-40 on it and see if it start's working again.....hotwheels of turborides
