I just finished a turbo swap (dead 14b for a decent 14b) and after i finished fashioning a gasget for the lower oil return line i was taking it out for a drive and the oil pressure (stock guage) just dropped to nothing. The car still drove fine and there was no lifter tick or any other sign of low oil pressure. Could the guage just have died or cloged in some way? I have driven the car a few times sense then and it seems fine other than a really bad cold start problem (takes 2-3 mins of off and on cranking then fires right up) but that was happening before the oil pressure issue occured. :laser:

like he just said, the stock sender wire sucks really bad, they like to fall off, i was at the drag strip once and i was about 1/2 way down and it went all the way down, cut the stock clip off of there and get a new clip at auto zone or w/e and put it on, then no more scares like that

Sorry to bump old post, but where is the sender wire located on a 2g? Mine hasbeen acting up lately.

It ocassionally doesn't read at all, then will start working again.

Edit - at same time as well, My oil pressure when the guage seems to be working is really low on idle once the car is warm. Under cold start, I hold right in the middle, but once the car warms up, on idle, or very low RPM driving, the pressure guage is reading lower oil pressure.

What's my issue?
