Orleans,
I was driving normaly all of a sudden car bogs ..misses....then goes...bogs misses then goes
1 gear really bad....2 bad.....3 bad....4 gear if cruising at 100km /h steady I can stray at 100km ...I cant accelerate...slow as HELL... My dash has a Check engine light....my Air/fuel gauges is gone....

I almost did not make it home...forget about going up a hill theres no power at all....slower then a k-car on 1 cylinder!! Never seen anythign like this...
Could this be a O2 Sensor that is dead?
what kinda of damage can this do.

Is this what they call limp mode (ECU has a set program of fuel) when o2 sensor dies....

Anyways Help...!!

make sure that all of your intercooler pipes haven't blown off, because my car did the same thing when that happened to me. :talon:

Is it like a stuttery type of bogging and when you push clutch Assuming your MT does it sound like it was just revving at 6k. If so I would check your plug to the transistor pack then swap out the coil pack and lastly the transistor pack. But if it doesnt fit the description I would borrow a logger or drive it limp style to autozone to check 6that code. and the ECU code shal set you free.

Now yesterday when I started the car back up ....1 hour later the Air/fuel gauge is working again and the car is full power again..... so it only happens when the car is all warmed up and ready to go.... Its a sensor problem almost garanted...maybe the MAFS maybe....o2 sensor.... what does the transistor pack do?

pull the codes thats your easiest answer. Lots of things can cause problems if its an O2 NO it will not run like that it will just run rich but I doubt you will notice it. The transistor pack controls your tach for one and Im pretty sure control of spark as well.

Am gonna pull the code tonight when I get home but heres my theory on this problem:

1.When the car is first started when cold the ECU does not care about the O2 Sensor so it runs with a programmed base to warm up the engine....so my idle is fine no problems there my Air/fuel gauge looks good....

2.when I drive the car the Air/fuel gauge is working and car is fine first 5-10 minutes ...then sudenly when the car hisetates and bucks..air/fuel gauges goes black and engine light goe up...then disapears air/fule gauges comes back for 1 second then again ....back and forth trew out all gears.....its like a fuel cut or something... at this point doesnt the O2 sensor control the fuel mixture....if it was to be intermittend and stop working for a few seconds wouldnt the car start to buck with a bad mixture and the air/fuel gauges would go black with no reading......

3. How can I explain my car still running at 100km /h with a air/fuel gauges that shows no reading at all ...all black.....some fuel has to be injected for the car to be able to run...so there is fuel running to it.... and there as to be spark too....

please correct me if this doesnt sound right

Theorize, write a book, press random keys....just pull the code!

Please use accurate thread titles next time.

There you go Dude changed to a more appropriate Title....
Im gonna pull the code tonight.....but when you have a problem like this you start thinking about all the problem it could be just human nature.....
no worries doe......am gonna pull the code!!

o.k here we go....I pulled the code and its CODE 44 (2.0L Only) Ignition coil, ignition power transisitor unit ...... Could this mean that it could be the wires as well.....or its definitly the coil and power transisitor? I just dont want to spend more then I need....

Guy's,

DSMers at ca.dsm.org have found the problem ......The caps are leaking in my ECU....!!
I pulled the ECU and boom there you go....I ordered the capacitors from digikey and gonna see if I saved this ECU on time......here's a Picture for you all to see....

Thank you all of you that helped me on this....!! :thumb:
