ok thanks for insight guys, now i have one more question, should i buy a rebuilt kit from top line performance, or should i get a re ring set that includes gaskets bearings, and rings and then just buy forged pistons and rings. the topline performance kit gives me everything including pistons. what am i better off with for performance wise, and engine life. ohh do the kits from topline come with performance piston and rings or all of the parts in the rebuild kit are oem. and what would be cheaper?

Well do you plan on boring out your motor at all? If not, I'd say find someone in the classifies or on DSMTrader that has a set of 2g pistons for sale. I think there is someone on this site now selling them for like $50. You could get total seal racing rings for like $90, and full topline bearing set for like $60-70. The 2g pistons would be better off performance-wise and shouldn't affect engine longetivity at all.

I always see those kits as a bit over priced, but then again I like to piece together everything myself so I get exactly what I want. I'm not sure on Toplines quality for engine internals, I've heard both good and bad. I went Clevites for $40 more than the toplines. Just a personal preference.
