i have a 95 eclipse gs, and i just noticed this the last few days...........when i start my car there is a loud grinding type noise from the engine bay....on the drivers side. when i put the clutch all the way down, it stops. the car seams to go into gear okay. Anyone have any ideas on what it could be??? :dsm:

i have to go with realhp but it can allso be a pilot bearing do to the fact when u push clutch down it goes away mine did the same thing.

im betting the throw out bearing has seperated and is rattleing on the main shaft and when you push the clutch in it holds it together in a fashion to stop the noise.
