My car ran a best of 14.4 at 100 with boost like 17 psi and my old 14b.I retired the 14b and added current mods.AGP RS49 50 trim, and supra tt pump,afpr,650 injectors and dejon intake pipe.Already had maf and maft and apexi n1 donwpipe and catback.
I have new ngk plug wires and bpr7es plugs at .28 or so .The car seems to start and run fine no black smoke out the back.I thought it felt reasonably fast. But today since track is long closed I took it for some tazzo vpc runs. The tazzo is like g tech .I have taken it to track and it was 1 tenth faster than track and 2.3 mph higher and 60ft was the same.

I ran two runs of like 16.4 at like 85mph with like 2.45 60fts.And then went home since car was bucking at high rpm and changed to the ngk plugs listed above, was running ngk iridiums for the 16 second runs.Ok so got a 15.3 at like 92.2 mph with a 2.24 60ft.Better but played with maft a bit and then got another 16.3 at lower mph again and with higher 60ft.The got mad and really revved it up and dumped it and got a 2.75 60ft and pure slippage I think all the way thru the run.I watched boost and it went to 10 or so.I have it set my mbc almost all the way down.
When I am fifth the car seems to not rev very good at all..The other gears I think are normal.
I have a stock clutch and pretty sure its slipping but it don't seem to slip when I punch the car in fifth as stated it just seems to pick up very very slowly. My palm tells me my numbers on things look pretty good so do you guys think its my clutch gone south. Its just a stocker .I have a new 2600 to install shortly.I don't think can have a boost leak if can get 10psi .I didn't try to go higher with the boost yet.

What do you guys thing here.I figured for sure my 50 trim would get me into the 13s minimum even at 10psi or so.

Alright....

Just because your not blowing black smoke doesn't mean the car is tuned for that humungous turbo. Not quite humungous but its big. Take it to a dyno and have it pulled a few times, those guys with the wideband o2 tune like crazy and are damn good at it.

As for that little g-tech thing your using. Get rid of it. Its not even accurate. I don't care what anyone says. I used one of those things and I couldn't even break a 14.5 with it. I went to the track and banged out a 13.1 and a 13.0, at about 25mph more than what the g-tech said.

Also, just by you saying it bucks like that shows that its untuned.

Either go search for some similar setups on the internet for the AFC and tune it yourself or go get it tuned and get to the track.

Let me know what goes on.

Umm..my tazzo vpc was accurate to the track. It was 1 to 2 tenths faster and 2.3 to 2.5 mph high.I ran it several times. The 60ft was dead on.You can also calibrate it to nearest hundredth to match track et and mph. you can get one at www.tazzo.com .much better than gtech I had before the tazzo.

I think my tuning is pretty close although without wideband hard to say exactly and no dyno near me and not going to dyno until install a good front mount intercooler and get my cams in ,possibly new sheet metal intake and maybe some spray. And of course no point dynoing with fubar clutch.

I will try to get my new clutch installed in next week ago and restest but I have faith in my tazzo to be pretty accurate until the track opens up again next spring.

Don't think 10psi on a 60-1 would get you 13s as at that low a boost setting your orig 14B is likely more efficient. The main benefit of the 50-Trim is that it's "efficient" in the 20-24psi range making it great for pump gas.

Clutch slippage happens when under load (i.e. turbo spooling).. so if you are in 4th gear at 2500 and gun it till and the RPMs move but you car isn't.. your clutch is fubared.
