I have a 91 Talon turbo. I tried grounding out my motor today with a number 6 wire to give the motor a proper ground. I grounding it from one of the blots that hold down the valve cover to the bolt that holds the radiator. I put the crips on it and all when I drove it everthing was fine when I pqark and left the car on the turbo timer the car shut off earlier than it was suppose to. So I when back out ther and started it up. About 10 seconds the car started to act up by idling hard. I gave it gas but it still was a heavy rev. I turned off the car and I heard a few clicks. It wasn't the ECU because its a rebuilt one. The clicks came from the rear and the car smelled like it was running rich while idling. I took off the ground and the car was fine. Can anyone explain to me? Thank you

Thanks alot for the link I apprietiate it. I'm going to do that, but I want to know why would that effect the motor acting like that. Can anyone help me with that

One strong possiblity: Without the motor properly grounded, the ground voltage would float (to whatever is driving it the hardest - current wise). The ECU eventually (or forced by a battery disconnection) recalibrated itself to that floating ground voltage and so all the sensors voltages and stuff got adjusted to work properly. When you added the real ground, now the ground voltage is different but the ECU hasn't recalibrated so all it's sensor voltages and stuff are now reading off.
