i have a 96 turbo gst with the MAFT, walbro 190 fuel pump, 14B, B&M AFPR, 95 eprom ECU and etc.. and sometime when i am driving the car wants to start missing and cutting out and then i let off the throttle for a few seconds and then give it gas again and it runs great and then a few minutes later it starts busting up again..but the thing is that it only does this every now and then and only acts up a few minutes and then goes away..and sometimes when i start up the car it automatically dies but then when i crank it again the cars stays running and idles fine.. any info would help thanks alot

I had a similar problem a few months ago. Turned out to be a combination of a blown head gasket and bad spark plugs. Which was weird because the spark plugs were practically brand new, gapped properly, etc . . . But after I threw in a new set- the problem vanished and has never returned.

I have the same problem i believe. I noticed when it starts to act up my factory boost gage goes to zero? Does yours do this too? It starts to act up after turning the air on for a few minutes too!! You guys ever have any luck diagnosing the problem? I thought it was the maf because of the boost gage. I replaced it and it actually boosts better now but still didn't fix the problem? Whats a good way to test the head gasket other than coolant loss? Thanks, i would be glad to get this problem fixed!! I have boost creep and have spiked at 27 to 30 psi a couple times, so a head gasket could be the problem? Thanks
Brad
