I believe my starter is going out because it takes a few attempts to start up my car, and then it sounds bogged down for a few seconds. Is there a specialized dsm starter?

Yeah it's either starter or battery. I don't know bout going with an aftermarket starter, it would really cost ya. I would hunt a good used one down on dsmparts.com or ebay or something. I think I even have an extra one. Let me know.
