About 2 years ago, the stock PS rack was leaking, replaced with a used one. Leaking stopped, then the pump leaked, got a new pump. Then PS would not work under 2000RPM, new pump blew up 6 months later, got a new pump. Still would not work under 2000RPM, 2nd pump blew up 6 months after install. Just today installed super nice remanufactured rack and PS pump from buy-steering.com. I bled the crap out of it , turned the wheel left/right hundreds of times while the motor was not running, disconnected the high-tension lead and cranked the starter while turning the wheel back and forth. Lowered the car, started her up and the same thing is happening! PS does not work under 2000RPM!
It has to be a pressure problem, but if the pump blows up after 6 months, it would be over pressure. Please help, this is just going on and on...
