help car wont start

i was working on my car this afternoon and i disconected my positive terminal to my battery. after about ten minutes i went to reinstall the terminal and the car would not start. when you turn the key all lights and radio come on, but when you try to start it its clicks once and proceeds to do nothing. (it does the same thing as when you dont push in the clutch and try and start it)
i checked fuses and cleaned the terminal still nothing. i am sure its something small that i just overlooked but i just cant figure it out. if someone could plz help shine some light i would be very appreciative

Have you checked to see if the battery is dead?

the battery has 12.67v

Get a load test done on the battery.
My parents mini van wouldnt start, I checked the battery and it had 12 volts.
Took it to Auto Zone to get it tested, they said it was a bad battery.
Bought a new one and it started right up.

Sounds like what happened when my starter died.

I pulled car into garage, turned it off, didnt pull in far enough, try to start again and click and nothin else. Try push starting it by popping out the clutch. If that works, then your starter is probably dead, or it has a bad connection.

Mine started doing this exact thing yesterday. The problem was my clutch safety switch. I unplugged it and all has been well since.
