power steering

okay so i've noticed that when ever i turn my steering wheel while stopped or moving slowly there are squeeks coming from the engine compartment. So i decided to look what's going on...i've noticed that my power steering pump belb is very loose, not sure if this is suppose to be like this but it didn't seem like it was right...so i tried to tighten it but i cant get the thing to budge. anyone know of a secret to tightening that belt? Diagrams or pics would be helpful cause the helms manual has none

ya first off loosen the mountiong bolts for the power steering pump and use a pry bar to pull it back and tension the belt

oh you might for get this tighten the bolts back up while holding it tensioned

You access the adjustment bolts with a deep socket thru the access holes in the PS pulley itself, then pry with whatever's big enough. No need to go gorilla on it, just good and snug.
