High guys thanks for checking this out. I live in Tucson, AZ and it is a little hot here. Sometimes my coolant temp gets up to about 220 degs. When the car is a little hot like this (and I mean only when it is hot) I get a 14 count of knock at idle. The 14 count is very consistant and goes away with any free revving or any load at all. In fact it is the only knock that the car ever gets.
Could this be phantom knock? I have also heard that the AFC's knock monitoring is not very accurate and should not be trusted. Is this true and/or am I experiencing this?
Thanks Guys,
Kent
