Had a new tranny put in my 91 Talon AWD a month ago after having it sit in my garage for 2 months. Was driving around and I got the clicking sound from the ECU and car sputtered and died and wouldn't start. Towed it home and put in my spare ecu and the car worked and drove fine for a week. Then I drove it to get some food and when I came back out to leave the car started I backed out of the parking spot and teh ECU started clicking and the car died again. I ordered a ECU off DCMTrader, guy said the caps were replaced and it worked fine in his car. I got it opened it up and looked at it, was clean and no smell. Put it in the car and it fired right up and teh car drove fine. Drove the car maybe 130 mile sover the span of a week, adn tonight at my friend's I backed out of his driveway heard teh clicking noise and the car died again. I left the car in his garage since the windows were down. I tried disconnecting the battery, taking out teh ECU and putting it back in after 15 minutes. So as of now nothing electrical works in the car at all. Can't even get a spark from the battery, which makes me think the battery is dead or the alternator is messed up. I checked the other ECU's I thought were fried and they didn't have any burn marks or smell at all. Any ideas or suggestions I could try out? Sorry for the long ass post. Thanks
