I got my car back from the shop yesterday, was running like crap- turbo wouldn't spool until like 5000 rpm, idle was choppy.. also my head was ticking like mad, just like Blue92laser's videos on his post. i pulled the valve cover, and my lifters were fine, rocker arms tight; everything looked good from what i could see. just put on my SAFC2 and it's untuned so I figured that was the reason for the idle being strange, so I drove it home, now it won't run. It'll crank for like 20sec, then it'll turn over, revs won't rise even when floored, and it dies like a second later. It sounded to me like it was an o2 thing, so I checked my vacuum hoses, they all look good, but on the back of the throttle body there's a hole where it looks like a hose is missing. It may have blown off, but I couldn't find a loose hose. Can someone tell me if/what hose hooks to the back of the throttle body? Right above the throttle, where the cable hooks up. Any other thoughts are appreciated as well, as I'm out of ideas.

posted, got no responses... oh well, it was a kinda vague topic; i had little information, so i couldn't expect much back- no problem. i got a little pissed though, and ripped off my valve cover, only to discover: (tada!) rockers that were hanging loose, cams that were scored from the rockers being ####ed, and the answer to my problem. have a few questions though, the rockers on the intake side on the 2nd and 3rd cylinder were hanging loose, i think i missed it the first time i pulled the valve cover because the cams were putting pressure on them. anyway the second time i pulled the cover they were pointing like 45* the wrong direction and there were huge scores in the camshaft to show where it'd been fuxxed. but ok, so i'm guessing i need cams, and rockers, what else is likely to need replaced in a head rebuild? it was the original head from 1990 i believe, so i'll put the revised lifters on it anyway.. think a complete head swap would be worth it? slowboy's got the stage 1 (all I'll probably need) for $900, -$100 core charge. never done this one before, so any feedback would be appreciated.

on a higher note, this means i get to put in high lift cams (unf!) .. like i've always done, i wait for something to go out on my car, and replace it with something bigger =)
