I pulled codes on 91 talon yesterday code 24 came up the codes for the Vehicle speed sensor (reed switch) but i can't find anything in my haynes manual all it says is check
Harness and connector and the Vehicle speed sensor (reed switch) but thats all it says about it so can somone tell me were the location of the (reed switch) is thanks

hey i got the same code i'm trying to look for it too. my car is also stuck in 3rd gear. im thinking this has something to do with this. :confused:
 
You say you pulled the code off of it - what kind of code reading device did you use, and where did you obtain it?

On a 1G the ECU code reader likely already in your tool box. A multimeter will do the trick but I prefer either a 12v piezo buzzer or 12v LED from Radio Shack to count the pulses. Both will cost you less than $5.

A 1G datalogger using a old Palm and MMCd will also pull and clear the codes.

Are you aware of how much information is available from the VFAQ.com site?
