Replaced Capacitors and it happened AGAIN!!!!@#!@#!!!

So i recently replacee the capacitors on my ecu and today (2 days later) it starts doing the SAME thing again...grrr...I had to buy a couple of degrees cooler of a capacitor than stock...is that what's wrong? the temp got too much for the capacitor and it blew it?Any help is much appreciated...if that's the case i guess ill order the ones off of ebay.

order the exact caps and make sure the solder joints are done perfect,then if they blow again start looking for another ecu

That's what I'm gonna do. The only place I can seem to find them is on Ebay. Im guessing cause they weren't in the exact heat range of the stock one (these were lower) that after a couple of days they just gave out.

last fall I was at my inlaws in michigan city,Indiana and I ended up changing mine,I found them in town at a place called tristate electronics for $3.87,so try calling them,good luck

I just purchased the set off of Ebay, this time I know it's the right temp. rating. I was looking at my ECU today and the chip (one circledd in pic) has a bit of corrosion on the terminals. Im guessing this happened when the capacitors leaked. My question is, can I desolder the chip and clean it up and resoder it? Im thinking the corrosion may be causing it to short out. If so what is a good way of cleaning it?Thanks for your time and input. Any help is mUCH appreciated.
