HELP! tail lights and gauge lights wont come on.. keeps blwing fuses

iam thinking that i have a short some where. i turn on the head lights. the instrument lights and the tail lights wont come on.. i check the fuses and they were blown.. so i put a new 15 amp fuse in and then turn the light s back on and the fuse blows again.. so where would be the first place to start.. or wouldl it be better if i left it to the professionals.. your info would be greatly apreciated.. thanks

Assuming the head and tail lights go on but just not the instrument lights, I would start by testing the dimmer switch.
