Problem :

I just hooked my maft translator up, Got the extension for the mafs and extened the other mafs plug so this way I have the translator in my interior.

I just hooked everything up, Hooked the negative terminal back up and turned the key on to the 'on' position, but not turning the car all the way on to crank over.

The green light stays on, on the maft. And the red light blinks 7 times, And it keeps doing it, 7 blinks , 7blinks, 7 blinks.. It does not stop. What happened, Is it suppose to be doing this? I need help on what to do , please.

Thanks in advance.

The book is saying that 7 red blinks means that "unit detected a reset while the engine was running"

Now, I did not start my car yet, As the turbo and header are not put on yet, I just turned the key to the on position, So I did not start the car at all. I disconnected my negative terminal and then connected it again, It still does it. Or, If I turn a knob even 1 click, The light will stay lit up red then, Without any blinks. I do not know what the problem can be?

The honey comb is out of the mafs, But I heard that does not matter anyways, On this gm mafs. There are also those little metal things on the straight lines, (In the middle of the inside of the mafs) they are not touching the other side, of the line? They go off of the one, And just dont touch the other one. Should they be connected in there?

Any other help would be greatly appreciated.

I know when I encountered 7 blinks at a point my car was off. As soon as I cranked it over everything was fine.

No problem. If I happen to get that again Ill make sure to check it out more thoroughly. But good luck with everything.
