I have slight vibration in my car when going 70+mph and it causes this horrible clanging rattling noise that seems to be coming from under the driver dash.

Does anyone have any thoughts as to what this is? It sounds like a bunch of keys clanging together and rattling constantly. It's driving me nuts and I can't seem to find anything loose!! It almost sounds like coming from the steering column...

Help!

Thanks!

maybe you should concentrate more on why it vibrates. Take your car in and have the wheels checked for balance. It could be that you tossed a wheel weight. As for the jingle it probably is your keys. Try making a run with just one key in the ignition. If thats not it then I dont know cause I dont own a 2g. sorry

I did a balance and wheel alignment but it still rattles.

It's definitely not the keys, I would have figured that out by myself :)

ANyone with a 2G ever have this problem? it's driving me up the wall

Have you had the recall performed on the lower lateral arms? Would you describe it as suspension related or definitely inside the car? It's not by chance the catalytic convertor seperating is it?
