I'm getting slightly irritated these days with my car as I'm trying to solve a problem that has no solution; my car has a loud "cracking sound" on decelleration/bumps.

This noise does NOT happen on turns, etc.

I've done the following so far:

Replaced my driver's side front balljoint arm (Thought that was the cause). No result.

Checked out my front and rear motormounts, both look a bit tired, but not ripped at all. I'm going to order some motor mount inserts (Front and rear) to see if that helps at all.

I'm running a swapped sixbolt setup, so I retorqued my motor mounts and got nothing.

Any suggestions? When I got it to crack again, my dad told me that it sounded like it was coming from the rear of the motor by the firewall, but the rear mount looks passable.

Thanks guys/

Put in the motor mount inserts (Front/Rear) this weekend, crack has dissapeared slightly from MAJOR noise to slight crack on bumps.

Driver's side motormount looks worn, unsure whether or not this is the culprit.

After replacing the balljoint that typically fails on the DSM platform, I'm unsure as to what other places could go. I was quoted 232 dollars for a replacement front left rear suspension arm (the big curved one) which I think is a mistake, but I'm not about to drop 200 dollars on this quite yet.

Also possible is the upper mount balljoint.

Any suggestions would be more than helpful.
