Could somoene explain to me how to check if my balance shafts are all installed properly and aligned right and everything. I took my car to RRE and they said my Balance shaft Belt wasnt installed right, so i called my mechanic and he said bring it back in ill fix it for free so i just wanna make sure he does the job correct. thanks.

man what an awesome mechnic he can tell the difference between the oil pump being out of phase and and the timing belt being out of phase with out even taking a wrench to your car he is awesome.

for those of us who don't claim one thing over another first read this stuff

this sight is for the poeple who don't spin the crank till all the marks are lined up and take the belts off and put the new ones on.

also the oil pump sprocket is supposed to fall a certain direction if you let go of it with the arrow pointing up. i don;t recall which way i did mine a while i am sure some one on this sight will read this and know which way the sprocket turn when it is in phase


you can print that and bring it in with your car note to them the oil pump and balanceing shaft have to be in phase
