Alright. I just picked up an 2g talon tsi as my new daily driver. My problem is there is a leak somewhere in the clutch system. The person i got it from said he just had a local shop install a new slave cylinder, master cylinder and a new clutch line. But it wont build pressure when i attemped to bleed the system. I know there has to be a leak in the system my guess would be on of the lines or fittings. Is there another culpret that i could be missing? Any insight would be helpfull. After work today i think i'll go pick up some stainless steel clutch lines.

thanks

I had a similar problem when I was bleeding my clutch recently, which turned out to be 2 things.

1: When I tried prying off the cap on the fluid container, i had twisted the container so that the tube that comes from it was pinched, so there was no fluid going into the master cylinder. Twisting it back to normal and un-pinching the tube worked with that. Check that.

2: My pedal still didn't feel right and I thought I was going to have to replace the cylinders, even though there were no visible leaks. I figured i'd adjust the clutch to see if it helped out temporarily. Turns out the nut that locks the pedal adjustment was loose. Once I adjusted it and tightened the nut, my clutch was good as new. It's perfect now.
