lights flicker??wtf

Ok.. i installed reverse gauges in my car... and for some reason now and then all my gauges will like flash off and on.. sometimes just stay off.. i wired my gauges into the switch so i can just flip on my head lights and all the gauges come on... Now if they flash off i can mess with the dimmer switch turning it up and down and then they will come back on... also if i just get pissed and punch either on top of the gauge cluster or the side where the dimmer that will sometimes work... all the fuses are fine.. i even opened it all back up to make sure i didnt have anything lose.. all looks good.. any ideas would be great..

let me correct myself.. the gauges i installed dont flash off and on.. its like the needle lights and the heating cooling lights etc.. all those will flicker..sorry about that
