I bought a manual boost controller off of ebay. I messing with it one day tryin to get it to 8lbs of boost. I noticed that when I loosened it all the way it kept falling on its face at 4000 rpms. So next I tightened it all the way and it was doing the same thing? Finally I set the controller at about halfway and its still doin it. It falls on its face at 4000 rpms in first gear. Is this a fuel issue or is the boost controller messed up?

remove it and see if it goes back to normal...if your car runs fine its either one of two things possibly bad boost controller or the vacuum lines could be loose/backwards/wrong/cut. Can you post a pic of you setup, Do you have one of those generic boost controllers?

Yes, it goes back to normal when i remove the boost controller. I think it might have something to do with the wastegate actuater but im not sure. Here is a pic of my setup. The problem is really weird. Like i have a automatic. And if i get on it in first it will jus stop pullin at 4, so i let off and get into second and punch it again and it will run fine. It jus does it in first.
