:talon: Whenever i hook up my tps sensor and get my car past 1500 - 2000 rpm the engine jerks violently like it would with fuel cut. I unhooked it and the car drives fine after that except it doesn't really get up and go like it should under 15 pounds of boost. I have put a new ecu in and that made no difference. Also whenever i hook up my idle sensor or the throttle body my car slows to idle, speeds up, slows to idle, speeds up.. etc making it undrivable while it's on and when it's unhooked the car just kinda idles where it wants to.

ANy suggestions here? My car is pretty much stock besides turbo back exhaust, big16g and a xbc.

Is the TPS bad? Mabey you need to put it back to spec. CHeck vfaq

nope i've had it set to spec and it keeps doing that. i don't understand why! I have 3 of the tps sensors sitting around and it cuts on all of them.

bringing this back from dead, I am having the same problem!! with tps connected as sonn as car gets to 1600 1800 rpms it makes some kind of fuel cut but if i unhook the tps its fine.

I just recently had the same problem. I was able to get rid of the fuel cut by disconnecting the Idle Position Sensor but then the car would not idle right all the time.

Not sure if it is different on your cars, but.....here is how I fixed it.....

I connected an ohm meter to #2 and #4 pins on the TPS and read the resistance. According to my book, the meter should read 1,100 at idle and swing to 5,600 at WOT. To ensure that the idle was not open at all, I backed out the IPS till I could feel the throttle stick a little. My TPS was out just a little so I adjusted it according to the book, tightened everything down, hooked it all back up and it ran perfectly :) Don't forget about the IPS. got to make sure that it is closed when the throttle is closed.
