i have the david brode uicp L pipe flanged for a 1st gen b.o.v and the dejon tool upper s pipe. i bought a greddy type s drilled the holes on the flange closer together today now when i close the hood the adjuster on the top hits the hood. i already dented my hood from not noticing and shutting the hood after the install. the uicp also pushes my fuse box up like its not at the right angle or something...... :thumbdown

my question is... do you need a the right flange for the greddy to bring it down about and inch or what. has anybody else had this problem?????

i just think that my lower l pipe by "brode" is a peice of crap and if i get a dejon tool my problems will go away.

help quick can't really drive for a little bit till i fix it..

You might wanna try the greddy piping. They leave plenty of clearance between the bov and hood. The provided blue couplings arent the best though, so i cut out a piece of the factory icp.

You may be able to get some longer couplers so you have a little bit of play in the UICP. Or have a shop chop a little bit off of the flange.

Get a hammer and just pound the spot just above the adjustment screw (Don't worry, it won't show up on the other side, it's a support. Takes about two minutes.

i went one better and cut out the spot where it was hitting the support. But it still hit the top hood and dented it so you can see it when the hood is closed.

but i have bought the dejon tool upper l pipe. so that will be here tommorrow....

i'll let you guys know what happens.
