boost leak test ?

when doing a boost leak test, should the psi stay at say 18psi and not drop off at all. seems like i can get it to 20psi or so and take off the compressor and it slowly drops off, about 1psi per sec. sound like i still have a leak or is this normal.

It should hold pressure, you will hear the air come out if there is a leak. Check to make sure that its not your fitting divice that you used to compress the system. Also you should boost check to a higher pressure. I was running 24psi, put it would spike to 27 sometimes, so I did a boost check to 30+

Are you running a MAFT setup? If so then the small 1lb leak will not effect you too much. If your still running the stock 2g MAF then you want to get that leak fixed somewhere.

thanks man. seems like it was leaking out of the PCV valve on the valve cover.
