Ok, no oil pressure, according to the factory gauge.

After I finished racing the car earlier, I ran into a problem, my factory oil gauge says I have no oil pressure. I need help, what could this be dsmtuners? But I drove it about half a mile after I found out I had no pressure, but there's no knocking, or anything coming from the engine, that I know of, and I checked the oil, and it's fine, it's full actually. I'm gonna try and take it to one of the guys shops around here, but still hit me back, and give me some help, and let me know what it is, hopefully it's nothing major like replacing the engine or something like that.

check the connections on the oil pressure sending unit on the oil filter housing. Either theres a faulty connection or the sending unit is bad. If that doesnt work remove one of the plugs on the oil filter housing and hook up a pressure gauge to see if your getting pressure. Most likely its the sending unit/connection

Unless you wiped both senders, the fact that the oil pressure idiot light isn't on would tend to point at the silly oil pressure gauge sender wire falling off.

Just crawl underneath and check for the wire dangling up by the crank pulley.

I just wanted to say thanks everybody for helping me with the problem, me and a couple of the guys at one of the shops around here got the problem fixed, it was exactly what you all said it was, we hooked up a pressure gauge to see if we were getting pressure, and that's what it was,it was the sending unit/connection. Thanks alot dsmtuners for helping me out with the problem, take care, see ya. Chris :talon:
