Ok First off I just wanted to say thanks, i have learned so much about my DSM reading and searching through the forums but i've come to a problem i cant find the answer to using the search. So Here is the Deal, my mods are in my profile. The other day my friend and i were searching for boost leaks and found that i had a leak in my BOV where it attaches to the UICP so we sealed that up. This is where my problem lies, after we sealed up that leak the car was runnin great for about a day or two holdin strong at 15psi on a 3rd gear pull till about 5500 - 6k rpms after which i let it sit for another two and now i cannot boost past 3-4 psi. I figured it was just another leak that was created or made more significant since we sealed up the area around the BOV. But now my problem is that we pulled checked and tightened all my post turbo piping(all stock) for leaks and we still unable to find where the leak is. I know the turbo is good the fins seem fine and i can hear it spoolin up nice and strong. So now my question is what can i do, I have done everything short of make a boost leak tester like the one in the vfaq but this will still do me no good as I'm up at college in rochester and dont have access to a compressor to fill the pipes and locate the leak. I have disconnected my bcs assuming that it will default my turbo back to 7-8 psi which will make it a little safer and prevent my turbo from tryin to pull 15psi with a leak instead of just 7. Now my question is what can i do? Any suggestions maybe its not a boost leak? or better yet is their anyone is rochester that has access to a compressor that can help me out? Thanks for any responses this is the first question i've had that i havnt been able to find the answer to using the search button
