New trans in, car wont start...help please

I just finished installing a new built TRE awd trans in my fwd 98 eclipse gst. The trans is awd but made to work with fwd. I had to use an awd flywheel, so the starter would line up with the flywheel. I had to do a lil rigging and grinding to get the starter to line up with the flywheel, but it is making contact now and turning the flyweel. I double checked everything I took apart. I cant find anything??? I had two mechanic friends help me but they just work on domestics. They are clueless???

The fly wheel is turning
I have spark
I can hear the fuel pump going

The car started fine before the new trans, any ideas, things to check ...look for??

Any help would be greatly appreachiated.......

Did you ground everything. My friend's car wouldn't start after a new motor and it was because he didn't ground it.

As far as I know we did, theres the grounds on the batt., the starter, and one on one of the trans bolts right?

If i missed one would it still try to turn over?

Well those are the only three i know of so, i guess that rules that one out.

This might not matter, but it might.

I know I had a big problem with my motor not starting cause of the ground strap on the exhaus twas disconnected. Like I said sometimes this matters, sometimes it doesnt.

I would check it just for shits.

Hey guys thanx for your help....... I went over the car very carfully and found a pinched wire for my msd ignition...... fixed it, replaced the fuse and bam it works!!!! funny how I had spark with that fuse blown though?????
