So all I have done to the car is a boost gauge and MBC (dejon). i ended up having to mount the MBC by strapping it to the radiator hose (will this give me problems with heat soak?). i was running 9 psi stock, every now and then spiking to 10. i turned the boost up to about 13 or so, sometimes 12.5, might spike to 13.5. and now when i go WOT (especially first gear), the car stumbles/misses/studders about 2 or 3 times per gear, almost like a fuel cut or soemthing? i doubt thats what it is, but I cant seem to figure out the issue. many of my DSM friends cant figure it out either, ive done some searches as well. its just not smooth like it was at 9 psi. i thought maybe something is going out, so i turned the boost back down to 10 psi... smooth as can be (slow, but still smooth). now I was looking at my fuel injectors and heres how they are:

cyl. #1 -- blue
cyl. #2 -- black
cyl. #3 -- black
cyl. #4 -- blue

i cant remember which color is what, but if i remember right one of those two come stock on the 2G? anyway i was thinking that maybe two of the injectors cant handle the boost which would give me that stumble. anyone have any clue what this is?

SOUNDS like a boost leak, but what do you mean about the injectors? are they physically a different color? Did you put them in or were they in when you bought the car? Pull the spark plugs and see what they look like. If you are running stock injectors at 13 psi you shouldnt be anywhere close to hitting fuel cut.
And no, having the MBC strapped to the rad hose wont cause heat soak, just make the controller really hot. :thumb:

the injectors are physically that color.

i actualyl figured out the problem. old owner had plugs gapped at .040 in vs. the .028 to .032. they are all in between that now and the car runs like a champ! :thumb:

upped the boost to 14 also and unplugged the "clogged" air filter with a K&N. wow is all i can say, that really made a huge difference.

thanks guys
