Irratic spark

What would cause irratic spark .. i was checking my ign timing and the timing light did not blink consitently it would blink and blink fast and blink slow and stop for like a sec and blink agian .. i tried the light out on another car and it was perfect.... you can hear a miss in the engine occasionally but it runs

changed them out along with the spark plugs helped a tad but still does't spark occasionally

Poor grounding in ignition circuitry, intermittent partially broken wire in ignition circuitry or to CAS, bad coil or it's condenser (capacitor).

OK - First recheck spark plug wires for good connections. Then try running in the dark to look for any electrical arcing to engine body from the spark plug wires. Then check the wires and connectors that go to the coil and cam angle sensor. Make sure they have solid, clean (no corrosion or mud), and tight connections. Also bend the wires within the first 6 inches from the connectors to feel for any internal breaks. Pull spark plugs and with still connected (and holding them to engine body), crank engine and check if spark looks normal and same on all plugs. Ckeck if gaps are correct. Check to see if intermittent spark is on all plugs or just one. If just one, try swapping spark plug wires. Put plugs back in. Then check/replace the coil's capacitor (sometimes called condensor) - it's a small aluminum can bolted to the engine with 1 wire coming out of it going into the harness (to the coil). Then test/swap the coil. Finally check the ECU for fish smell and leaking capacitors inside it.
