I just read in another thread that the stock pipe adapter that's for the Greddy Type S leaks.

Is this adapter leaking common knowledge? Or speculation? I just put a Type S on my car yesterday and it feels like it might be leaking under hard acceleration. Just doesn't feel like it pulls as strong as it did before. I tightened everything and put the stock one's rubber gasket on the Type S like the instructions said to.

If that's the problem, I have a hard pipe that my friend gave me when he sold his GST, I just have to figure out how to put it on and get the right attachment parts..

The adapter plate I got for my 1g bov I think leaks, not much you can do. Make sure the gasket is sealed good, and then also put some teflon tape around the adapter to make sure it is sealed well to the UICP. Also do a leak test to make sure.

Teflon tape is a good idea. After the mod, I added some to the adjustment knob and nipple before screwing them in to prevent any leak in those areas.

Get the IC piping with the correct flange on it. Ever car I have seen with the adapter on stock piping leaks like crazy.

Ok.. I've got this pipe. I have no idea what brand it is or anything. My friend gave it to me a long time ago.. so can anyone tell by looking at it what i'd need to install it? Or direct me to an installation guide for something like this? BTW, the Type S fits on it, I tested it out already.

Thats the Upper IC pipe. You will need a coulping to attach it it to the stock intercooler and a clamp to attach it to the stock IC piping comming off the throttle body.
