Stainless Steel Headers cause weird sound

sup,
my friend has a 1997 eclipse GS. he just bought some tsudo stainless steel 4-2-1 headers for his car, he hears a weird tsk tsk tsk sound while the car is running. coming from upper headers. we took the headers back and they gave us some new ones. well it still does the same thing. We call them back again, they dont pick up twice. They pick up the third time, and state "stainless steel headers are supposed to make that sound." I couldn't help but laughing since he thinks we are stupid. Is it true that stainless steel headers are supposed to do that? What do you think the problem is? we hear the sound around the engine head/ header.

Are you sure you tightened all the nuts tight from the header to the head, And you do not have an exhaust leak? Also, It may be your lifters ticking?

I'm not sure, I have a header on my car and it does not make any noises.
Lifters, They are in the head, Top end of the engine, Sometimes they will tick. It would say ticktickticktick.. maybe that is what you are hearing? It comes from the top end of the motor? does it only do it when the car is at idleing?

yes, only when the car idles it makes the noise. How can i check to see if it is the lifters? Thanks alot

i'm on the phone with my friend right now, the car also makes that noise even WORSE especially when racing, whenever u accelerate. the car was perfect before he bought the headers. everything is tight. How can i check the lifters?

So is it true stainless steel headers are supposed to make that weird noise? The shop told us they are supposed to be like that.

He states it sounds like a leak, like a air leaking sound. He said he is 100 percent sure there is not leak, because he does not see a dirty black line because when it leaks...the black spots come out near the leak. There is no visibile black spots showing anywhere.
